It really bothers me when people include "honestly" and "not gonna lie" in conversation. People use it as a protective shield against criticism when they say something truthful.
What is easier to say: "She really annoys me" or "Not gonna lie, but she really annoys me"? The latter, of course! People should speak their mind without using these defensive phrases ._.
Then there are people who just throw the words in there for no reason: "Honestly, I really like this sandwich you made me". Is it really necessary? If you don't begin your sentence with "honestly", should I trust you? :?
"Not gonna lie, it's really hot today" - I've heard people say this and it makes me cringe :/
Does this bother anyone else? -____-
